Administration

Each Finance Director has a different group of individuals they work with to ensure a school's or division's finances are managed smoothly. Administratively, this means directing and supervising the work of staff on their Finance team. Finance Directors recommend access and training for appropriate departmental staff on financial and human resource systems. They also disseminate information regarding policies, regulations and reporting requirements to appropriate staff.

Finance Directors are an active participant in meetings with senior managers of their school or division to provide advice and updates on financial matters while ensuring awareness of major projects and initiatives. Finance Directors may also work with external stakeholders, especially vendors, in carrying out their day-to-day business.

Finance Directors meet collectively on a periodic basis, to receive relevant training and information on how to carry out their job functions.
